Media Fast
Today is the fifth day of a "media fast" which started last friday. I can't listen to radio stations or cds which aren't "christian" (I still listen to U2 cuz I'm fairly sure they count), can't watch television, play video games, visit internet sites which aren't necessary (still visit e-mail and the blog), or go see movies. The first few days were kinda difficult, but you really get used to it after awhile. I'm used to spending an hour or two on the internet chatting or checking news sites so I think I've had the hardest time just zipping on and off the 'net. I haven't noticed any behavioral changes, but I'm thinking alot more about stuff, and I think the quality of thought has gone up a bit too. *shrug* or maybe it hasn't. The other people trying this out are constantly calling each other to complain about how bored they are and to hook up to do stuff. I went mini golf'n last night and cut my finger pretty bad when I was trying to get my ball outa a artificial pond. I don't know what I cut my hand on but I was bleeding all over the place.
